Since their inception, Graf Lantz has sought to uplift the world's most ancient and durable resources into home and lifestyle goods. Utilizing renewable materials like merino wool, hemp, and vegetable-tanned leather, their products showcase the highest standards of sustainability.
Packaging has always proved to be a painpoint.
Graf Lantz turned to Sway to explore packaging solutions derived from seaweed, another one of the world’s oldest and most sustainable feedstocks.
Together, we designed a limited edition, seaweed-inspired “Wine-Ote” greeting card affixed with wool wine markers made from excess fabric. The cards are enveloped in clear Sway packaging, which is designed to decompose naturally, rapidly.
Feedback from Graf Lantz
"While sustainability has been embedded in Graf Lantz’s ethos since our inception, packaging has always proved a pain point. Discovering Sway’s seaweed-based, home-compostable packaging bridged the gap in our mission: create products that last, and packaging that doesn’t. In this way, our products truly can have the lowest footprint possible on our planet. This is the change our company has eagerly awaited, that our customers will undoubtedly champion. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Sway to unearth the horizon of regenerative material solutions."

On Earth Day 2023, Sway and Graf Lantz hosted a sold-out seaweed celebration inviting the LA community to experience our collaboration in person. Complete with happy hour goods, guest speakers, and a presentation from the founders, it was an Earth Day to remember.
